Why GEOG 2010? (Exercise 1)

I am a Geography major and my biggest interest in geography would be GIS for future job related reasons, but I do still have a want to learn about everything under the geography umbrella. I hope to get a better understanding of how ideas and culture spread through the five themes that will be discussed in this class, so that I can learn how to create datasets and maps relating to them.
